SigMon® Transportable Spectrum Monitoring System

SigMon provides RF Spectrum Monitoring, direction finding and geo-location from fixed site, vehicles and portable applications. SigMon is available for a variety of applications including: Fixed Site, Hand-carry, Carrier-on, Airborne, Civilan or Military vehicles. Networked together, multiple monitoring sites provide direction of arrival and plotting on a local area map.

SigMon Transportable Spectrum Monitoring Products

SigMon is used to detect, analyze and locate sources of RF interference. Spectral traces are stored to allow historical analysis using SigMon reports or displayed on the SigMon Archive Viewer. This tool allows the operator to view stored spectrum traces over any time period. A spectrogram provides a three-dimensional (Frequency, power and time) display to see transient and frequency varing events. SigMon provides automatic Direction Finding (DF) and with multiple networked monitoring sites, the source is displayed on a local area map. From a Network Operations Center, the monitoring equipment located at each remote site is controlled either manually or automatically. This includes control of the measurement instruments, antennas and RF Switches.

Integrated systems to your specification

SAT Corporation integrates systems for specific customer applications including fixed site and mobile requirements. From the basic SigMon configuration, special options are selected for the applications. For example, typically systems include a combination of direction finding, geolocation and mapping.

SigMon Systems have been integrated into multiple vans and fixed sites networked with each other and a central operations center.

  • Single man carry & Operations
  • Secures into passenter seat
  • Operates from cigarette lighter
  • Flexible Omni & DF antenna mountings

Compact Direction Finding Antenna: 2.0 to 18.0 GHz

  • Planned growth to 40 GHz
  • Light-weight
  • Manual or powered telescoping mast
  • Single integrated assembly
  • Vehicle transportable on mast
  • Supports off-road applications
  • Solid State Design
  • No Moving Parts
  • 360 degrees angular view

This broadband DF antenna can be integrated into any SigMon DF applications.

The solid-state rugged design (with no moving parts) provides high reliability for transportable and fixed site requirements.

Combined with SigMon software, SigMon provides all the basic features plus direcition of arrival and geo-location.

The DF System integrates a Low-band and High-band in a single enclosure.
Geo-location, using the mapping software and an integrated GPS, is possible with a network of fixed sites or by a single mobile system. The small size of the 2.0-18.0 GHz antenna allows rapid extension of either a crank up or powered telescoping mil-spec mast.

The DF System can be operated in a stand-alone configuration -with a single vehicle- or networked with any combination of fixed and transportable monitoring units. SAT Corporation can provide the data network or interface with the users existing network.
