SigMon is used to detect, analyze and locate sources of RF interference. Spectral traces are stored to allow historical analysis using SigMon reports or displayed on the SigMon Archive Viewer. This tool allows the operator to view stored spectrum traces over any time period. A spectrogram provides a three-dimensional (Frequency, power and time) display to see transient and frequency varing events. SigMon provides automatic Direction Finding (DF) and -with multiple networked monitoring sites- the location of the interference source is displayed on a local area map. From a Network Operations Center, the remote monitoring sites equipment are controlled either manually or automatically. This includes control of the measurement instruments, antennas and RF Switches.
SAT Corporation integrates systems for specific customer applications including fixed site and mobile requirements. From the basic SigMon configuration, special options are selected for the application. For example, typical systems include a combination of direction finding, geolocation and mapping.
SigMon Systems have been integrated into vans, SUVs, HMMWVs and fixed sites. For comprehenive coverage, these are sometimes networked together using a data link that connects a NOC with the monitoring sites.
