SAT-DSA (Digital Spectrum Analyzer)
The SAT Digital Spectrum Analyzer is a modern apectrum analyzer with advanced features made possible by digitizing large portions of the spectrum. The DSA's unique signal characterization is not possible with a traditional spectrum analyzer. Characterization parameters help to maintain traffic quality and to determine the interference source. Carriers up to 85 MHz in bandwidth can be characterized by modulation type, FEC, bandwidth and center frequency.
- Main and Interfering Carrier Parameter measurements: RF Power, CF, BW, Eb/No, C/No, modulation type, symbol rate, FEC and BER
- Main and Interfering Carrier Display: Displays & characterizes interfering carriers even when inside the desired carriers bandwidth
- Automatic Monitoring and alarming: Automatic monitoring plans test carriers and transponders
- Measurement and Trace Storage: Stores carrier measurements and traces for historical review
- Traditional Spectrum Analyzer controls: Display, Resolution Bandwidth, Span and so forth follow the traditional spectrum analyzer format
- Spectrogram Display: Displays frequency, power and bandwidth in three dimensions to follow TDMA and Frequency Hopping carriers
- Configurable for any monitoring application: Available with any satellite ground station frequency range from 70 MHz through Ka-Band
- Switch control: Automatically controls RF and IF switches with any number of inputs and outputs
